Coldplay’s Republic Day Gift to India: Ahmedabad Concert to be Streamed Live
Coldplay has arrived in India and has a special announcement for their fans. The band’s Ahmedabad concert on January 26th will be streamed live on Disney+ Hotstar. This means fans across India can watch the show from home. You can watch it from 18.00 Hrs IST on Disney+ Hotstar.
Coldplay made the announcement in a video on Instagram. Lead vocalist Chris Martin said, “Namaste to all our friends in India. We are so happy to tell you that on the 26th of January, our show from Ahmedabad is streaming live on Disney+ Hotstar. And you can watch it from where you are in India. We hope you can join us. We are so excited to come to your beautiful country. And we hope you are well. Much love.”
India Tour Details
Coldplay will perform in Mumbai for three days at DY Patil Sports Stadium: January 18th, 19th, and 21st. Before Coldplay takes the stage, the audience will be treated to live performances by Shone, Elyanna, and Jasleen Royal. Tickets are available at BookMyShow.
The band will also perform in Ahmedabad at Narendra Modi Stadium on January 25th and 26th. After their India tour, Coldplay will head to Hong Kong and South Korea in April.
Special Train Arrangements
Two special trains are being run between Mumbai and Ahmedabad on January 25th and 26th by Western Railway. These trains are being operated to help fans attend the concerts due to high demand for airfare and train tickets.
The first train will depart from Bandra Terminus at 6:15 AM and arrive in Ahmedabad at 2 PM on January 25th. The return train will leave Ahmedabad at 1:40 AM on January 26th and arrive in Bandra Terminus at 8:40 AM. The second train will depart from Ahmedabad at 12:50 AM on January 27th and arrive in Bandra Terminus at 8:30 AM.
Around 100,000 people are expected to watch the show live in the Narendra Modi Stadium and 5 crore are expected to watch online. After the merger of Jio and Hotstar this is one the biggest events to be streamed online. Stay tuned and keep following this article for latest updates!
